FAQ
How do I export the originals from my iPhone?
On the iPhone, go to Settings → Photos and set "Transfer to Mac or PC" to Keep Originals. Connect it to your computer with a USB cable, open "This PC → Apple iPhone → DCIM" on Windows (or use Image Capture on a Mac), and copy the photo folders.
The photos don't move on my phone?
Don't send them as images through WhatsApp, Messenger or similar apps; they get compressed into still photos. Copy them over USB in "File transfer" mode instead. If you see the motion badge but the video won't play, turn on Compatibility mode and convert again.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The page's security policy blocks sending data to any server, and your original files are never modified.
Why can't I just copy the HEIC and MOV files to Android?
An iPhone Live Photo is two separate files: a HEIC image and a MOV video. Android galleries treat them as an ordinary photo and an unrelated video. An Android motion photo is a single JPG with the video embedded inside, so the format has to be converted.
Does converting reduce quality?
Photos are saved as high-quality JPG (95%). Videos are repackaged without re-encoding by default, keeping HEVC and HDR. EXIF data such as the capture time is preserved, so photos stay in the right order in your gallery.
Will Google Photos show them as motion photos?
Yes. Google Photos recognizes the motion photo format on any Android phone, so it works even if your phone's own gallery doesn't.
Can I convert directly on my phone?
A computer with Chrome or Edge is recommended: the originals have to be exported from the iPhone over USB anyway, and a computer handles large batches much faster. Firefox and Safari also work; the results are downloaded as a ZIP file.
How many photos can I convert at once?
There is no limit. Drop in a whole photo folder; regular photos without a matching video are skipped automatically.
